[POLAR] - BYRD, Richard E. Two typed letters signed "Byrd" or "R. E. Byrd" to James B. Pond, concerning dates and expenses relating to his 1926 speaking tour following his first flight over the North Pole. Chicago: 23 November 1926; Boston: 5 December 1926. Each 1 page, the first on The Lott Hotels stationery (265 x 180 mm), the second on Byrd Arctic Expedition stationery (275 x 215 mm). The first with an additional holograph postscript inquiring about the train schedule from Cincinnati to Chicago.
