Album of 80 silver prints [Rome, circa 1880], each 210 x 270 mm, etched notations in negatives, mounted on both rectos and versos with occasional pencil notations underneath. Oblong folio. Decorative full vellum with gilt lettering, ruling and vignette of the She-Wolf suckling Romulus and Remus, all edges stained red, silk endpapers. Condition: covers heavily soiled, cracked along back spine. images include the historic sites of Rome and photographic reproductions of roman art.
