Lot of Three Items With Letter Signed "Helen Keller"

HELEN KELLER, Women's Rights Advocate, Socialist, Blind-Deaf Activist.
October 20, 1945, Typed Letter Signed, "Helen Keller", in blue ink on American Foundation for the Blind letterhead, New York City, Extremely Fine. In this letter Hellen Keller thanks a donor and exalts the benefits to the recipients:
"...whatever (the blind) can accomplish as standard-bearers of life's greatness in manhood, the community and victory for freedom is to them a proud satisfaction--a light which no darkness can extinguish..."
This lot includes an additional cut signature, written in pencil (undated), and mounted on to cardstock, measuring 2.5" x 6", also Very Fine. The card has some toning. Also includes a 1906 Women's Christian Temperance Union almanac, 8.5" x 5" mounted to album paper with an original pledge card, 2.5" x 5.8". The almanac has minor chips, stains, with mounting tape on the back, and cover separated. Very interesting almanac, with images of women leaders such as Susan B. Anthony and Frances Willard.
