Wendell Phillips", in fountain pen ink, no location, Choice Very Fine. A fine specimen with a terrific quote--written during a time when Civil War was almost certain to occur! Wendell Phillips (1811-84) was one of the more vocal and influential voices calling for the end of slavery from the 1840s through the Civil War.
