CORNELIUS VANDERBILT, (1794-1877) Famous American Capitalist, Industrialist, Robber Baron, Richest Man in the United States.
February 1, 1827, Mauscript Document Signed, "C. Vanderbilt," New York, 3" x 8.25", Choice Very Fine. This short receipt is for the amount of $250 "for one quarter Sallery" and it is further also docketed on the reverse, all in bold brown "1 February - C Vanderbilt - one quarter - Sallery - $250". A great, historic American autograph rarity that will display well due to its bold appearance.
