1897, "GEORGE WASHINGTON" Print by Rosenthal, After a Miniature by John Ramage, Printed by E. Opitz, Philadelphia, PA, Extremely Fine.
Uncolored 3" x 2" die proof on large sheet, 14" x 11". Oval portrait of Washington in uniform after a 1789 "miniature by Ramage, in the possession of Mrs. Moses S. Beach." Penciled notations: "R. Sc.," "No. 15," and "H 211." A list of 20 subscribers are printed on a tissue overlay in the lower right corner of the large sheet. Some black-inked fingerprints on left margin, not affecting image.
