Civil War "Bounty" Receipt for a Union Volunteer March 9, 1864, County Bounty Receipt for Union Volunteer, Genesee County, NY, Choice Fine. 4" x 7.75", fine-laid, blue-lined paper. Written in brown ink by "R-- Fidinger," the father of a Union volunteer: "Recevd of ... the Town of Oakfield one Genesee County War Bond No 418 for my Son John C. Fidinger, a volunteer in the United States Service, and I do hereby Certify that I am authorized by him to receive the same..."
