Civil War Era Photo Card Of Washington & Lincoln

c. 1865, Patriotic CDV-Type Photo Card, Washington and Lincoln, Very Fine.
This Civil War Era Photo Card has portraits of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, made from paintings, which are labeled, "The Father" and "The Preserver" respectively. To the sides of the portraits are quotations: "Avoid all sectional jealousies" beside Washington, and "With malice toward none, with charity for all" beside Lincoln. This card is standard CDV side (4" x 2.5") with a pen cancelled, 2 cent orange, Washington revenue stamp on the back. This card is in very nice condition, with no folds or tears, and a few light age spots, mostly on the back. A nice Civil War Period Patriotic Photo Card featuring 2 Great Presidents.
