Description
Obsolete CurrencyVery Rare Issued Cleveland $10 Note
Cleveland, OH, The Bank of Commerce at Cleveland, $10, Issued Note, Choice Very Fine.
Haxby OH-155 G16a. A great rarity and fully issued. Most notes on Ohio using this "furioso plate" style are proofs from the 1990 ABN Sale. This note is boldly accomplished and would have been traded for First Charter $10 notes shortly after 1865. As such, the note is a miracle of survival. The Bald, Cousland design at the left is seen only on Ohio notes and combined with the red lazy "X" makes for handsome presentation. Still very crisp with only a tiny nick on the top and bottom edges from ink corrosion. A beauty.
