Mechanical "Zoo Bank" Monkey, Bear & Lion In Windows

c. 1880, Mechanical Bank, "Zoo Bank," with Monkey, Bear & Lion in Windows, Cast Iron with Original Paint, Choice Extremely Fine.
This rare, original 4.5" high x 4.5" wide, Mechanical Zoo Bank, has some light wear and much of the original paint. One deposits a coin in the slot at the top of the Zoo house, then presses the monkey's face in the top window, and a bear & lion then poke their heads from the lower windows while opening their shutters. Closing the shutters resets the bank. The original trap remains, the key is lacking. The number "134" is stamped on the back, but there is no manufacturer's name. This is a very rare bank which is difficult to find in complete, original and working order as is this important example.
