Connecticut River Valley Chippendale cherry slant front desk, ca. 1770, the fall front adorned with a carved 6-petal flower enclosing a fitted interior with similarly carved drawers, one prospect drawer initialed ''TH'', all above a case with 4 graduated drawers supported by bracket feet, 42 3/4'' h.. 34 1/2'' w. Purported to be from the town of Glastonburg.
Condition reportHinges replaced (patches). Old mellow surface. Brasses replaced.
