Fr. 477    $5    1882BB  This is a wonderful $5 Brownback on a really rare bank. Having organized in 1899 under this first title, less than 1,000 sheets of Brownbacks were issued before the title was changed in 1904. Currently, only three $5 notes are recorded for the Ontonagon County National Bank, and it is possible that this unmolested note is the best of the three. A few tiny pinholes are noticed but they affect nothing. A fabulous Michigan item, with great pen signatures.
