PRESSED TWISTED LOOP VASE, brilliant medium amethyst, boldly gauffered eight-flute rim and medium bowl with lower double step, joined by a crude wafer to a ring-top hexagonal baluster-form standard and panel-top circular foot. Possibly Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1840-1860. 10" high, 5 1/4" diameter rim, 4" diameter foot.

Undamaged as made, there are several minor flakes to the standard below the wafer and some mold roughness to a slight foot fin, both of which occurred during manufacturing, along with some very light interior residue
