FREE-BLOWN AND PRESSED STAND LAMP, colorless, globular font joined by a bladed three-ring wafer to a large hollow-knop stem, which is joined by another bladed three-ring wafer to a peg-top square scrolled standard with an animal head above a shell on each of the sides, and resting on a paw-foot base with interior prisms and buttons underneath which are factory ground to level. Possibly Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Thomas Cains' Phoenix Glass Works, South Boston, or Union Flint Glass Works, Philadelphia. 1827-1840. 10 1/4" high, 3 7/8" square base overall.
