FREE-BLOWN AND PRESSED STAND LAMP, colorless, conical font joined by a bold bladed wafer to a large hollow-knop stem, which is joined by another bladed wafer to a square standard with four animal-head-topped pillars surrounding the central column, the quatrefoil base raised on four tall ribbed feet and with interior prisms, with a pewter collar and double-tube whale oil burner which is not attached. Probably New England. 1830-1845. 11" high to top of collar, 3 3/8" square foot.
