RARE PAIR OF FREE-BLOWN AND PRESSED STAND LAMPS, colorless with a slight gray cast, each featuring a globular font with an interior air-trap mercurial ring, joined by a bladed wafer to a hollow inverted baluster standard with an applied ring of raspberry prunts, joined by another wafer to a hand pressed square lemon-squeezer base with a rough pontil mark, tin and cork double-tube whale oil burners. Attributed to Thomas Cains' South Boston Flint Glass Works or his Phoenix Glass Works, South Boston, MA. 1813-1830. 10 1/8" high to top of rims, 3 3/8" square bases.
