FREE-BLOWN BOLD BALUSTER-FORM VASE, colorless lead glass, short trumpet top with tooled rings at the rim, applied to a compressed globular bowl, all raised on a double-ring stem and thick circular foot with rough pontil mark. While this form has traditionally been attributed to the Pittsburgh area, in actuality it could have been produced in any number of American glass houses . 1830-1860. 7 1/4" high, 4 7/8" diameter rim, 3 3/4" diameter foot .
