PRESSED OCTAGONAL FOOTED SUGAR BOWL WITH COVER, deep brilliant cobalt blue, urn-form bowl raised on a short octagonal stem and plain circular foot with rough pontil mark, stepped cover with eight panels continuing across the acorn-form finial. Probably Pittsburgh . 1840-1860. 8 3/4" high overall, 5 7/8" diameter rim overall, 3 3/4" diameter foot .
