EARLY THUMBPRINT / ARGUS SALVER / CAKE STAND, colorless, plate with three rows of thumbprints and a 24-scallop rim, joined by a wafer to a hollow hexagonal stem and single-step circular foot. Bakewell, Pears & Co . 1850-1870. 4 1/4" high, 9 1/2" diameter rim, 4 5/8" diameter foot .

Undamaged except for a flake to foot interior, minute open bubble to rim, small spot of usage wear to center and edge of the plate
