EARLY THUMBPRINT / ARGUS COMPOTES, LOT OF TWO, colorless, one with cover, bowls with three and four rows of thumbprints and joined by a wafer to a hexagonal hollow-stem and panel-top circular foot. Bakewell, Pears & Co. and others . 1850-1880. 5 5/8" high, 8 1/2" diameter rim, and 11" high overall, 7 1/4" diameter rim .
