BRYDEN PAIRPOINT ENAMELWARE PITCHER, deep intense ruby with polychrome cane and frit rolled-on decoration, bulbous form with applied handle and foot with rough waffle pontil mark. Pairpoint Glass Co., probably at East Wareham, MA . 1957-1958. 6 1/4" high, 3 3/4" diameter rim, 3" diameter foot .
Reference: See Padgett, {{Pairpoint Glass}}, p. 202, for three examples from the Chrysler Museum.
Provenance: The Duff & Molly Allen Collection. Jackson's Antiques Center, 8/1/84
Note: According to Duff Allen's notes of his 8/6/84 conversation with Robert Bryden, "Enamelware" was the result of a bad batch of ruby that had been contaminated with lead and turned almost black. Bryden indicated that only one batch of "Enamelware" was made at his short-lived East Wareham factory

Condition report
