BRYDEN PAIRPOINT ENAMELWARE EWER, deep intense ruby with polychrome cane and frit rolled-on decoration, gourd form with applied handle and rough pontil mark, "Gunderson Masterpiece" silver label under base of unknown association. Pairpoint Glass Co., probably at East Wareham, MA . 1957-1958. 9" high, 4" diameter overall .

Provenance: The Duff & Molly Allen Collection Note: According to Duff Allen's notes of his 8/6/84 conversation with Robert Bryden, "Enamelware" was the result of a bad batch of ruby that had been contaminated with lead and turned almost black. Bryden indicated that only one batch of "Enamelware" was made at his short-lived East Wareham factory Condition reportUndamaged
