AACA A fine Moche Prisoner from Peru, ca. 400 – 700 AD. He is 6-1/2" high, posed seated, with hands resting on the knees. Except for the simple cap, he has been stripped of all ornamentation and has a rope tied around his neck. The face reflects resignation to his inevitable fate. Nice details, such as the braided hair flowing from underneath the cap and the finely formed fingers, with nails highlighted with paint. In excellent
