Wolcott served as Secretary of the Treasury from 1795 to 1800 and Governor of Connecticut from 1817 to 1827. 7 ¾" x 4" document signed, Hartford, October 8, 1788, to John Lawrence. The pay order directs payment be made to Andrew Kingsbury and has been signed twice by Wolcott.
