Charles Harker (1837-1864) Union General. Harker distinguished himself at Chickamauga and Chattanooga. He was made brigadier-general and commanded a brigade under General Howard in the campaign in Georgia. He was killed at Kennesaw Mountain and James J. Archer (1817-1864) C.S.A. General. Archer took part in actions at Beaver Dam Creek, Gaines'Mill, Frayser's Farm, Cedar Mountain, 2nd Bull Run, the capture of Harpers Ferry, Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville. On the first day at Gettysburg he was captured, becoming the first general taken from the Army of Northern Virginia since Lee took command. 21 ½" x 16" military document signed while both served in the Wisconsin Territory, 1859. The document is a "Report of Persons and Articles Employed" and is in excellent condition.
