Germany, ca. 1850, a very unusual seated papier mache lady with a pull string under her skirt. When the string is pulled she gently rocks a poured wax baby on her lap. The lady has a papier mache shoulder head, painted black hair under an original brown human hair, cloth and carton body with kid arms and is wearing an original satin dress. The baby is solid wax with painted and molded features, wearing a fancy lace baby gown. 12" H. Very Good
