Outstanding group of 8x10" mainly color photos including seven of John F. Kennedy visiting McDonnell Corp. in St. Louis, MO during the early days of their involvement in the space program. Also includes other rare McDonnell photos related to the Mercury program: Astronaut training, capsule recovery, a Redstone launch (12-19-60) with Mercury Capsule (B & W), etc. ALSO included is a very early Alan Shepard picture signed in black ball point & Walter W. Schirra signed picture in Green ball point. Few other pieces of early Mercury paper ephemera & a Mercury tie tack also noted. Paper items not toned but some signs of age & wear noted. Photos have some paper clip impressions, corner or edge wear yet still display well. Signed pictures have staple holes outside image areas. Overall a fine and very useful group."
