The plaque on the wooden piece reads, 'HEAT SHIELD from SIGMA SEVEN, MERCURY-ATLAS 8, WALTER M. SCHIRRA, OCTOBER 3,1962'. In good condition, with some minor scratches on wooden plaque. Ideal for the collection or display of any true space enthusiast. "
