Results of the Third United States Manned Orbital Space Flight (Oct 3, 1962. NASA SP-12, 120 pp, soft cover). Lot is composed of the post-flight public release documents, a memorandum from Kenneth S. Kleinknecht, Manager of the Mercury Project. Book in good condition with only slight cover flaws. Memo is an unsigned copy. ALSO includes a B&W 8X10" photo of splashdown, an original membership card in the 'Intersteller Association of TURTLES-Outershell Division', CapComm Alan Shepard asked MA-8 astronaut Wally Schirra if he was "a Turtle today". Wally was one of the founding members & provided: "the correct answer" to the question. COA for the "Turtle" card signed by John Boynton, NASA editor is included along with another signed COA from him for the entire lot. A great, historic grouping."
