This large section (36x36") of orange nylon material is from the first manned flight of Alan Shepard. The 'Ringsail parachute' landing system was designed by Northrop's Radioplane Division. Accompanied by McDonnell Aircraft Corporation name tag of collector of material V. M. Kampmann, Secretary, Spacecraft & aunt of consignor who received the material directly from Alan Shepard with note to that effect. Parachute material extremely fine condition, ideal for dividing into smaller pieces and resale. "
