Pair of black silicon rubber boot liners apparently used in training or suit development for Apollo EVA suit. See Fig. 5.9 in Lillian Kozloski's book 'U.S. Space Gear' published by the Smithsonian in 1994, which shows a cut-away of the Apollo suit showing this style boot liner. Some deterioration & soiling, especially at ankles in ring-folds. Still rare original Apollo equipment. Seldom seen or offered. No markings or other provenance consignor indicates he received the boots from the wife of a former NASA employee who indicated they were used in training for Apollo 17, and that they were not flown."
