This unique scalloped rim and ribbed Peachblow nappy is by Gundersen Glassworks of New Bedford, Mass. ca. 1947 - 1953. Gunderson was in business from 1940 until 1957, with Gundersen reputedly acquiring the original Mt. Washington Peachblow formula, after the demise of Pairpoint, for whom he had been the head of the glass division. As a matter of fact, Robert Gundersen purchased the original Pairport factory in June of 1939 with the intent of producing the finest in American art glass. The nappy is a special item, right down to the reeded handle. It emits a warm glow under black light. Mt. Washington & Pairpoint Glass / by Kenneth M. Wilson; Mt.
