This wheel-cut water set by Thomas Webb was made to commemorate the coronation of King George VI, who became the King of the United Kingdom in 1937. The set consists of the water pitcher and four footed tumblers. The upper portion is clear crystal, accented with a yellow vaseline uranium foot. The wheel-etching has an interesting art-deco feel to it. Each piece is acid marked with WEBB ENGLAND CORONATION. In the center of each mark is a crown. The pitcher is marked on the bottom rim of the handle.
