This is a wonderful Victorian example of cased custard glass in the form of a rose bowl by Boulton & Mills ca. 1890 - 1895. The applied prunt has been identified as Boulton & Mills by our English dealers, including the following web site, http://home.earthlink.net/~verredart4/glass/EnglishApplique.html, plus the lovely multi-colored acanthus leaf applique is also noted as Boulton. This is a very special rose bowl that emits a subtle traditional custard glow under black light.
