This is a beautiful rich Cranberry Victorian marmalade dish by Stuart & sons Ltd. Ca. 1900 - 1910. It is quite different from most marmalades of the period in that it does not have the pincered trail vaseline support ring and through sitting holder. This special form was actually designed for a flat bottom holder, and this example is especially unique with its (4) sculpted poster restraints. The vaseline vaulting rim glows nicely under black light.
