Here is a tall and special late Victorian English opal glass vase very possibly by either H. G. Richardson or Stuart & Sons Ltd. The traditional baluster form is beautifully hand painted, indicating a top flight studio, and the vase has vaseline appointments in the form of a ring on the collar base, plus two shell ribbed handles. There may have been other contenders, but Stuart & Richardson were known for their shell ribbed foot and handle designs. British Glass 1800-1914 / by Charles R.
