This beautiful cased glass conical o-alescent swirl vase was produced by one of the high quality glasshouses of Bohemia, likely in the Novy Bor region ca. 1900 - 1910. The amber opalescent outer layer is lined with a vaseline formula that emits a warm glow under black light. One of the keys to its lineage is the fact that the applied feet are sans finishing in deference to the invariably pincered English extended foot vases. This is a quality Bohemian heirloom.
