VICTORIAN COIN SPOT VASELINE OPALESCENT MARMALADE

Sign In to see what this sold for

This coin spot or coin dot marmalade is a stunner! It is made from vaseline opalescent glass and is an unidentified spot pattern. We believe the frame was made by Henry Wilkinson & Co., Sheffield. The EPNS mark for Wilkinson indicates (by it's design) that it was marked prior to 1892, so that dates the piece. We also believe the glass, which is perfectly matched to this frame, was also made in England. This piece comes complete with it's original matching lid, which has a slot for the spoon handle. The glass shows no chips, cracks or damage. the base shows minor wear and minimal tarnish and should polish up super nice! This one is an eye-catcher and this exact piece is featured athttp://www.vaselineglass.org/victorianjelly.html. Vaseline Glass Collectors, Inc, website. -- part of a collection of art glass to be sold live on eBayLiveAuctions on Oct 5th at 1pm, Andy & Rob Collection.
