This beautiful light Cranberry and opalescent swirl English Victorian marmalade has been positively identified as being by the fabled Stevens & Williams. The Vaseline raspberry pincered trail seating rim and vaulting vertical applique sport a Stevens & Williams signature in the ornate dimple pattern. Opalescent hand blown glass was first used subsequent to the hiring of John Northwood as art director in 1882. This spectacular marmalade is ca. 1885 - 1890. This great bowl was also blown to the basic British dimensional standard that allowed approximately 85% of all marmalades to fit into any of the myriad of available EPNS Victorian holders. Baciato Dal Sol: The Turtle Point Vaseline & Cranberry Villa / Porcelain, Glass, Pottery, And Sundries from The Victorian Through Contemporary Eras & Their Values - by John & Candice Scherz -- part of a collection of art glass to be sold live on eBayLiveAuctions on Oct 5th at 1pm, Andy & Rob Collection.
