This brides basket with silverplate frame has a lot going for it! The inside is a deep oxblood red, which is the first thing that catches the eyes! The outer cased layer is milk glass, and there is an applied rim of vaseline uranium glass to highlight and finish the rim. The silverplate frame is marked BARON SILVERPLATE. We detect no damage to the glass, other than very minor surface wear. The base has a rough polish pontil. We have seen similar bowls with similar pontil and design that were attributed to Loetz. -- part of a collection of art glass to be sold live on eBayLiveAuctions on Oct 5th at 1pm, Andy & Rob Collection.
