Here is a real Rare treasure in nthe form of a Mt Washington opal glass ovoid lobed vase, hand decorated by the fabled Smith Brothers. The Smith Bros. joined Mt. Washington in 1871 under contract to W.L Libbey to establish an in house decorating department. After tremendous success, the brothers left Mt. Washington in 1885 and founded their own studio, still working closely with their former employers for years. This piece is stunning and a real find, properly stamped ca. 1885 - 1890. Mt.
