ENGLISH EDWARDIAN JOHN WALSH WALSH CASED YELLOW E

Sign In to see what this sold for

This is a very pretty art nouveau sliver plate and blown glass Epergne produced in England during the Edwardian period. This lovely spread 4 horn configuration holds the signature cased yellow of John Walsh Walsh ca. 1905 -1914. Walsh's yellow was much more like the original Chinese Imperial yellow, in deference to H.G. Richardson's yellow that was deeper with a slight orange tint. British Glass 1800-1914 / by Charles R. Hajdamach; Victorian Decorative Glass British Designs, 1850-1914 / by Mervyn Gulliver; Decorative Victorian Glass / by Cyril Manley -- part of a collection of art glass to be sold live on eBayLiveAuctions on Oct 5th at 1pm, Andy & Rob Collection.
