1930s FRENCH RUBY / VASELINE CAMEO CYLINDER IRIS

This cylinder vase is vaseline glass on the base layer, with a ruby / cranberry overlay that has been cut back in a thin cameo silhouette fashion. While it has been suggested that this is a LeGras piece, this writer has seen a similar piece (biscuit barrel) that had the same surface etching and same color of ruby glass overlay, and it was acid-etched marked on the bottom, BACCARAT. The buyer will have to be the final judge.
