This black glass figurine paperweight is one half of the famed Punch & Judy puppets. The original P & J by John Derbyshire has a dog on one side of the figure, and a cat on the other, but this has neither one. It is possible that she might be a short run by one of the fine American producers from the earl part of the 20th century such as Imperial or Westmoreland. We have verified that this rare piece comes from the personal collection of Frank Chiarenza, author of "The Milk Glass Book", and yet is still an enigma. -- part of a collection of art glass to be sold live on eBayLiveAuctions on Oct 5th at 1pm, Andy & Rob Collection.
