Possibly Last Known Babe Ruth Autographed Photo

This photographic image of Babe Ruth is mounted on 1/4" boardand inscribed: "To Frank Delaney My Friend and Nurse George Babe Ruth 1948". This is believed to be the latest known autographedimage that Babe Ruth signed in 1948, the last year of his life. The Babe was under the care of male nurse Frank Delaney from early February 1948 until his passing on August 16, 1948.Frank Delaney is mentioned in the biography "The Life that Ruth Built" by Marshall Smelser on page 538 and in Babe Ruth's Will. The image was acquired from Gotta Have It! many years ago and now comes from the collection of a notable baseball collector. Image: 19" x 15 1/2", frame: 32" x 28
