TWO WAX OVER COMPOSITION DOLLS, 16".
Unmarked. Wavy blond hair with exposed pierced ears and painted blue bow, inset brown glass eyes, replaced cloth body with bisque limbs, antique dress. She comes with history. Some discoloration and damage. Also girl with mohair wig, old cloth body with composition limbs, antique clothes. Restored, cracks in face.

Condition: Note with blond doll: "The doll had been orig. to the grandmother of Mrs, Brown 1870 (?)". Back corner of her shoulder plate is missing, a small area of missing wax at hairline and a tiny spot under chin. Nose rub, paint wear on lips. Some areas of discoloration. No evidence of repaint. Wears old earrings and dress may be original. The eye mechanism of the brunette does not work. Face is nicely painted. Some wear on her bodice.
