This lot features the original framed watercolor painting shown. The piece is signed in the panel and on the backing matte, by celebrated 19th century composer, Felix Grischow. The work is competently done, and features a Greek or Roman temple-style structure next to a body of water either at sunset or sunrise. On the backing matte, there is a partially-readable, multi-line inscription preceding the signature. The period oak frame is in very good condition with nice patina, the joints are tight and the original backing board is in place, the frame appears to have never been opened There is a label on the back of the frame, crediting a framer in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The frame measures approximately 9.25" x 6.5". Shipping cost (within the lower 48 states) for this lot will be: $9.50
