Condition/Details: Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering to spine and decorative illustration of frontier cabin on front board, this antique volume is a scarce account of Jemison's captivity among "the Indians" The first edition of the life of Mary Jemison was published in Canandaigua, New York. This work is illustrated with numerous plates, geographical, explanatory notes and appendix. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages.
