The items in this lot are part of the estate of Eddie Ruhl, celebrated tenor opera star. Eddie Ruhl performed as an operatic tenor with a professional career that spanned from the 1940's through the 1960's. Mr. Ruhl lived in the Washington, D.C. - Baltimore area before retiring to Florida. He performed internationally and was generous with wartime benefit performances in Europe. He served a term in the military during the 1950's. His recordings include: My Fair Lady (1964), The King and I (1964), Oklahoma! (1950's), South Pacific (1964). He continued to perform in smaller productions into the 1970's and upon official retirement, offered professional vocal instruction to emerging artists.
