This lot includes an 1800's, large-format privately-bound volume of sheet music. Bound in marbled paper-covered boards with 3/4 leather binding, this antique volume is a unique compilation of early sheet music bearing the name "Adam" on the front cover, embossed on leather label. As was often an aristocratic custom during the 1800's, this book was created at the specific request of the owner, by a private bindery. Favorite selections were presented to the binder who created the handsome, custom volume. This compilation includes decorative title pages and several Jenny Lind pieces. The volume shows external age/wear, is disbound and has bright pages with some scattered foxing. The book measures approximately 10.5" x 13.25".
